About the role
1+ years of Python based software development
Previous academic or professional experience with exploratory data analysis and visualization
Experience creating visualizations and presentations for technical or non-technical users
Familiarity with SQL or a SQL-like language.
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to independently make data-driven recommendations
Previous experience with implementation of ETL process
We’re looking for a current student in any quantitative field (i.e. computer science, engineering, MIS, stats) to help our team build a platform for the next generation of gas leak detection and emissions reporting across a variety of industries and sectors.
This role is focused on streamlining and analyzing sensor and geospatial data collected across a variety of groups including the US Air Force and O&G companies. You’ll find yourself writing code alongside our full-time engineers and working directly with customers to better understand their pain points. A few examples of technical tasks for this role range from creating scalable dashboards and visualizations to performing exploratory analysis of large emission datasets across the US.
As an intern at a fast-growing startup you’ll have direct influence and responsibility on our core product and the features we ship.
What you'll do
Work on high impact projects and help build the future of Iconic Air
Collaborate cross-functionally to understand pain points and problems of Air Force and O&G stakeholders then investigate and provide unique, innovative solutions by leveraging your data science skillset
Continually grow both professionally and personally through various learning and development opportunities
Work with large, complex data sets on open ended problems, using analytical methods.
Conduct end to end analysis from processing data, building models, running experiments, to making recommendations and presenting results.

Experience developing code, software, or data products in an academic or professional setting
Experience analyzing, cleaning, and visualizing complex datasets
Experience with Python libraries and other data science tooling and libraries
Strong verbal and written communication skills *Ability to gather product & business requirements, weigh technical difficulty against business requirements to influence execution strategy
